Description

Aéroclub Roland Garros was set up in 1933 and is the island’s oldest aeronautics club. It is also a flying school with 6 instructors and a fleet of 6 aircraft, including 1 stunt plane and 1 twin-engine. The club prepares candidates for the private pilot’s license (PPL) and organises first flights and introductory flights. Introductory flight: 30 minutes maximum with an instructor and including piloting simulation. First flight: loop with maximum radius of 30 km and lasting a maximum of 30 minutes, with obligatory return to departure point. Enquire at the club.

Itinerary

From Roland Garros Airport, take the expressway to Sainte-Marie, then the next exit (to the shopping mall). Go round the roundabout and take the third exit on the right towards La Mare ZAE. At the next roundabout, take the road to the fishing port and yachting harbour. At the roundabout near the sea, turn left towards Météo France. The club is next to Météo France.
